Vacation  with the  Linkman  Family

( part  1 )

Our Vacation  started on August 7, 2000.  We left for Elysburg, Pa. to a campground  I`ve been to when I was about ten years old....1974.  We took the Pennsylvania Turnpike to get there and arrived just before noon, after making a quick stop in Jim Thorpe, Pa. for breakfast.  After checking into  our motel,

And the average ride is still under a dollar.  Even the parking is still free!  Everything seems so much cheaper there than what I`m used to paying.

Another highlight of the area we ventured to was Rolling Hills Red Deer Farm.  This was actually pretty neat.  Here they gave us a hay ride through 217 acres of wood area they raise their deer and elk.  We got to feed the deer.

So after spending one full day at the park, one full day at Crystal Pool, one day touring the area and another night again at the park, we ended our stay at Bloomsburg, Pa.  only to continue to our next destination,  West Virginia.

Finally, we came home for two nights so we can replenish our goods before we go off wandering again.

Check out some pictures of our vacation and check back after next weekend for the continuing story of...
